Our client is seeking a Menswear Design Associate for Outerwear to join their team in New York! This is a full-time hour contract role with potential to go permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct seasonal research
• Create accurate flat sketches/ CADs and design tech packs.
• Provide feedback on fabric lab dips and strike-offs.
• Create inspiring design presentations and mood boards.
• Utilize garment construction techniques and sewing methods.
• Attend weekly design meetings & collaborate with production teams.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years Design experience within Menswear & Outerwear or Sportswear
• Experience working with both knit and woven fabrics
• Apparel Design degree
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proficiency in PLM system
• Detail oriented, team player
• Ability to work in the fast paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
