About this role:
Come join a creative team of Accounting professionals dedicated to developing and enforcing effective internal controls and providing sound and timely financial results to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will promote a positive and inclusive culture, advise the team on proper and efficient handling of routine and non-routine transactions, partner with Executive leadership to identify technology improvements and implement best practices, and coordinate and support annual bank audit and tax review activities. Please note, this is a senior-level role so proven experience in Accounting and developing successful teams is important.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting team which includes General Ledger Accountants, Accounts Payable, and Billing and Collections.
Analyze and diagnose system processing issues and apply intellectual rigor in designing solutions, continuously improving throughput and accuracy in a supportive manner.
Offer direct guidance and assistance to the team, paying attention to areas of opportunity for growth (technical and professional).
Work closely with senior management on professional development plans for staff members.
Support accurate and timely month and year end close, including preparation and review of monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Respond to inquiries from senior management and handle special requests.
What you bring to our vision:
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Progressive experience in Accounting (AR, AP, Sales and Use tax, inventory, payroll)
Experience implementing policies, procedures, and sound systems of internal control
Strong computer skills including advanced spreadsheet skills
