Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization.

Duties:

- Minimum 2 years current Accounting Experience, nonprofit experience preferred

- Must be familiar with fundamentals of accounting procedures, responsible for annual, monthly, weekly and daily recording/reporting practices

- Tracking of departmental purchase orders and receipts for clear audit trail of expenses

- Knowledge of ADP Payroll and QuickBooks

- Must be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet

- Good writing & communication skills with the ability to handle various duties associated with office to include phone, office correspondence, etc. as needed

- Multi-task oriented

- Personable, Reliable; ability to work as a Team Member

- Must be self motivated and take initiative to ensure position requirements are met on a routine basis

Requirements:

- Associate's degree or High School Graduate/Equivalent with 2+ years current Accounting experience

- Proven experience working in financial services or a similar role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Skills:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

- Financial services experience

- Credit analysis expertise

- Proficiency in using QuickBooks

- Strong technical accounting skills
