Responsibilities
 

  • As part of the Global Transaction Banking division, the objective of the role holder will be to work together with the Global Banking (GLBA) Coverage and Securitization teams and the GTPS Cash Management and Trade Services sales teams to cover the bank’s strategic target client groups and identify the opportunities related with their working capital requirements of the clients.
  • The person will coordinate with the SGF team in Paris to structure solutions for those clients, to act as the key point of contact for the clients and as the interface between the clients and the SGF team.
  • By identifying new opportunities, the VP-Director, Working Capital Solutions will help grow the portfolio organically and increase NBI (revenue) across the entity target client portfolio (both headquartered and multinational companies operating in the SG branch).
  • They will work with the SGF team, the securitization team, TRA team and PCM team to prepare client pitch books, respond to RFI’s and RFP’s, and all other marketing and sales material.
  • They will provide feedback from clients/prospects to the SGF team to ensure that GTPS is aware of the competitive position of Societe Generale and other banks in the US working capital market.
  • They will work closely with the SGF team to provide any working capital financing solutions, to ensure requests are actioned and executed in a timely manner.
  • They will ensure that Call Reports are completed and logged in a timely manner.
  • They will take ownership of support requested by clients and coordinate with the SGF team to manage and resolve the clients’ queries.
  • Working with the SGF team, they will ensure that the CRM/pipeline tool is kept up to date and accurate, recording all sales opportunities that have been identified.
  • They will work in collaboration with other GTPS partners to ensure that the clients are supported across their global business.

DIVISION DESCRIPTION:

Global Transaction Banking and Payment Services (GTPS) Americas is composed of three Business Lines: USD Cash Clearing Services, Payment and Cash Management Services and Trade Finance Services. GTPS provides corporate clients, financial institutions, Societe Generale entities and business lines with a wide range of payment products and services such as USD payments, corporate cash management services, check services, foreign exchange conversions and standby letter of guarantees.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • A minimum of 10 years of previous sales or client relationship management or client facing experience with large European companies is necessary.
  • Previous experience of structuring and selling working capital finance solutions (receivables finance) to large companies is necessary.
  • Banking industry experience or knowledge is preferred.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to think innovatively is highly desirable.
