POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a full-time, salaried role on our Technology Team. For this remote role, you'll need to have the ability to work from home 5 days a week. Typical hours for this role are 7am - 4pm, Monday - Friday PT. But this position is more about accomplishing specific outcomes with a high level of communication than adhering to a clock. And though our team highly prioritizes margin, on rare occasion, there may be a need to work additional hours on evenings and weekends during a launch or other events throughout the year.
 

MISSION

The mission of the IT Specialist is to ensure that all of our team members have the technology they need to get their job done so we can reach our revenue and profitability goals.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the supervision, implementation, and maintenance of our online tech stack.
• Overseeing our technology budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor daily operations of all cloud software in our tech stack.
• Integrate, and automate tools in our tech stack.
• Coordinate tech stack purchases, installations, upgrades, maintenance, and billing.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize tech stack systems so that they operate effectively.
• Monitor performance metrics and changelogs.
• Assure all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
• Evaluate technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
• Manage access to tech tools during employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Participate in the hiring and evaluation of agencies, employees, and vendors.
• Remain up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.

PROFICIENCIES

• Teamwork Skills: To help execute our tech stack strategy, the IT Specialist will work closely with other team members - namely Marketing, Ads, CX, Revenue, Projects, and HR Teams.
• Content Creation Tools: The Tech Stack Specialist will develop a deep understanding of tools like: Active Campaign, Zapier, Searchie.io, Wistia, Dropbox, Kajabi, Learndash, Loom, Cloudflare, WP Engine, Libsyn, Hover, and Twilio
• Human Resource Tools: Google Workspace, LastPass, Slack, Typeform, Loom, Missive, Breezy
• Strategic Thinking: The IT Specialist is a smart strategist who will manage, organize, and optimize our entire tech stack.
• Quality Communication: The IT Specialist will be a detail-oriented, creative, and collaborative problem solver with outstanding communication and project management skills.
• Analytic Skills: The IT Specialist will need to conduct regular analysis to identify opportunities to improve technology performance. You will also need solid presentation skills to keep our teams updated on best practices and tool performance.
• Social Listening and Research Skills: The IT Specialist will need to stay up-to-date on all of the latest digital marketing tools by conducting regular research. An ability to gather systematic and methodical data from social listening, carry out market research and analyze results is preferred.
• Project Management Skills: The IT Specialist will work closely with the Project Management Team to ensure that all projects are done on time and on brand.
• Anticipating Needs: The IT Specialist will need to proactively recommend new tools, beta test strategies, and keep up with industry demands. You will also need to provide views on emerging technologies.
• Camera-Readiness: The IT Specialist will be on camera periodically. So you must be an excellent communicator and have a dedicated workspace that's camera-ready at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required
• Experience and Values:
  • 2+ years of experience managing an online tech stack.
  • 2+ years of experience as an IT Manager, Systems Manager, Tech Stack Manager, or Full Stack Engineer.
  • Mastery of Google Workspace and LastPass.
  • Enthusiasm for details, organization, and deadlines.
  • The ability to write, collaborate and adapt to strategy changes quickly.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, virtual environment is preferred.
