Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Marketing & New Markets, Waters Materials Science Business, the Manager of Strategic Marketing will establish the strategic growth plan for TA Instruments Division solutions across the global organization. This role will work closely with TA Sales, Marketing and Product management teams in all key markets in support of commercialization activities.  

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the TA Instruments marketing strategy, in close collaboration with the Business Committee, Sales/Marketing and Product management teams.
  • Develop deep Materials Science market knowledge and stay current on industry trends to incorporate as appropriate into the strategy.
  • Develop and maintain market models in close collaboration with marketing, sales and product management teams.
  • Lead the development of customer insights and competitive landscaping for Materials Science, incorporating into both organic and inorganic growth plans.
  • Support the market segment and product management teams as needed to ensure successful commercialization of new product releases and marketing campaigns.
  • Perform macro market assessments across all key reginal markets, quantify current and future market size and growth rates estimates.
  • Work closely with cross-function teams to capture VOC and determine key Materials Science business needs.
  • Develop deep understanding of competitor strategies across regions.
  • Identify key partnerships and potential commercial relationships to support revenue growth strategy.
  • Work closely with the Waters corporate development organization for M&A activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS in Technology or Business field. MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of successful experience, materials science environment preferred
  • Strategy development experience in Materials Science industry or related fields
  • Ability to effectively influence at the executive level and within peer group 
  • Strategy development and strategic planning skills
  • Strategic mindset with execution focus
  • Effective interpersonal, collaboration & networking skills
  • Change management advocate
