The Social Media Coordinator will work cross-functionally amongst the marketing team and broader matrix organization to support the development and execution of omni-storytelling for the Foot Locker brand. This position will work closely with the Social Media Manager and across brand team, creative, product, and marketing channel teams to drive cohesive, consumer-obsessed storytelling across social media platforms. We are looking for a social media enthusiast who wants to grow within a corporate environment. The ideal candidate is well-versed in managing corporate social media platforms and will exude exceptional communication and project management skills and have a passion for sport and the athletically-inspired retail space.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Social Media Manager in the creation and publishing of social content on all platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and other emerging platforms.
- Analyze and create weekly social media analytics reports.
- Support live content opportunities such as at brand events or in-store content capture.
- Help in the weekly creation of turnkey content whether through shoots, video capture, or meme creation.
- Monitor and engage in real-time social conversation across platforms.
- Help execute social partnership opportunities such as influencer programs, organic posting and paid placements.
- Provide additional POV on potential influencer/creator partnerships for brand programs, content franchises and events.
- Ensure all social content is compliant with brand standards.
- Assist with talent contracts and new vendor set ups
- Create and submit POs / invoices
- Planning/facilitating all social-led meetings
- Stay on top of social media trends and integrate new opportunities for Foot Locker’s Social presence.
- Acting as a communication expert on the team: establishing meeting agendas, taking meeting notes, and sending out detailed action reports after each meeting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- 1+ years experience in social media marketing at a corporation or agency
- General knowledge of Sneaker, Basketball and Pop Culture.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, social media trends, and the competitive landscape to develop effective marketing campaigns.
- Content Creator with experience creating short form content for TikTok/IG Reels using mobile apps (I.e, Caput, InShot)
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills to plan, prioritize, and execute various projects within tight deadlines.
- Possess a strong analytical mindset and be proficient in analyzing data to identify insights, measure campaign effectiveness, and make informed recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Computer literacy required; must have thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Helpful if knowledgeable with Adobe suite of products (Photoshop)
- 1+ years experience in social media marketing at a corporation or agency
- Working knowledge of software platforms like Sprinklr and JIRA is preferred but can be taught on the job.
Benefits:
The annual base salary range is $55000 - $60000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
