THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior Marketing & Business Development (MBD) Coordinator will have the opportunity to utilize their marketing and business development expertise in a highly visible role for our Houston and Dallas offices. The Senior Coordinator will formulate, project manage, and implement initiatives as assigned by the Offices and MBD Manager, as well as be a direct business development resource to local stakeholders. In partnership with their Manager, the Senior Coordinator will take ownership of initiatives, developing them from conception through execution and follow-up. This will require the ability to lead, influence, and manage a team of stakeholders that includes attorneys, administrative staff, and colleagues at all levels. Candidate should be highly motivated with an attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Strong business skills, including written and verbal communications, are essential.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Assist MBD Manager with carrying out regional business goals by leading check-ins with action teams, gathering input/data, and following up to ensure that steps are being taken to meet goals in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and produce draft proposals, pitch materials, RFPs, and client presentations, as well as related reporting and follow-up under supervision of managers.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and supervisors to plan and execute client events, including briefings, webinars, roundtables, social events, sponsorships, and other related opportunities.
  • Provide editorial support for the development of attorney biographies, award submissions, and experience lists, as well as other drafted communications as necessary.
  • Assist with the drafting and production of internal and external communications, including newsletters, invitation content, surveys, announcements, and other communications as needed.
  • Contributes to brand awareness activities to enhance firm profile, including sponsorships, in-house presentations, professional speaking opportunities, and other related activities.
  • Supports Research team in the analysis of client, market, competitor, and industry research to inform business development strategies.
  • Support MBD team with special projects, office-level initiatives, industry initiatives, and client-based initiatives.
  • Assist with other day-to-day business development and marketing activities as needed.

YOU HAVE:

  • 5 years' work experience, with a minimum of 3 years direct experience in marketing or business development in a professional services environment (law firm experience strongly preferred, although other professional service experience will be considered)
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and communicate effectively with department colleagues.
  • Superior organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks, adapt to rapidly shifting priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstration of initiative in creating solution-oriented improvements to existing processes, procedures and practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, team-based culture and support and promote an atmosphere of mutual respect.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-directed behavior.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Knowledge of Interaction, Qorus Breeze or another proposal software, Vuture, or iManage a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree.
