The Production Planner develops and utilizes forecast reporting tools to identify optimal lead times for materials and production scheduling to ensure days on hand and inventory levels are maintained. The Production Planner coordinates with cross functional teams such as sales, supply chain, quality, and copackers in coordination with the Sr. Director of Operations to ensure no “out of stocks”. Our ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong analytical skills who works well autonomously and in a team environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Schedule usage of production materials to confirm optimal production levels
• Identify optimal lead times for materials and production scheduling to meet inventory needs
• Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
• Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
• Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends
• Produce reports based on findings and performance of production
• Manage deadlines based on project expectations
• Evaluating purchase orders to create suitable production schedules
• Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production
• Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
• Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met
• Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner
• Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain or operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with inventory management and consumer packaged goods
• Strong proficiency in MS Office suite of products - must be highly proficient in Excel
• Detail oriented with strong negotiation capabilities and decision-making skills
• Previous startup and CPG experience strongly desired
• Experience with DEAR Inventory system not necessary but a plus
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to work and communicate effectively cross functionally with multiple groups
• Results driven and able to ‘put out fires’
• Must be agile, curious, ready to learn and have a driven attitude

Based on this position and the requirements above, we are offering a yearly salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 plus a bonus potential for this position.
