Job Description And Duties

A part-time office centered and part-time telework schedule will be available. The incumbent will be expected to be available through various platforms throughout the day to communicate on work related activities and be required to report to the office regularly to perform Branch support functions such as mail processing, filing, copying, scanning, training, meeting support.

As an Office Technician you will have the opportunity to:
 

  • Draft and type, edit, and format documents for Branch staff including reports, charts, spreadsheets, graphs, flyers, fact sheets, and correspondence
  • Review all correspondence prepared by the Branch for proper format, grammar, mathematical computations, and spelling, and makes necessary corrections
  • Interact with Administrative and Information Technology staff to keep office
     

equipment in proper working order
 

  • Maintain the Branch Chief’s calendar by scheduling meetings and conference calls
  • Prepare items for meetings including assembling background materials, distributing agendas and minutes, and ensuring all materials and copies are available for participants
  • Ensures that format quality of outgoing correspondence adheres to specific DTSC rules and policies
  • Assist in compiling, copying, assembling materials in support of Branch projects Prepare documents for web posting using Adobe Acrobat software
