Summary:

The Microsoft Office/Zoom Technical Trainer shall design and deliver training related to commercially available software and hardware used for by the client including, but not limited to, the following:

· Current and legacy version of Microsoft operating systems.

· Microsoft Office products (e.g., Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);

· Zoom for Government;

· PDF software; and

· Mobile devices, printers, and scanners, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Attend pre-instruction/deployment setup meetings and conference calls locally in Annapolis and in clients locations throughout the State of Maryland as needed.

· Provide post instruction/installation/upgrade deskside support for all users.

· Deliver short-term training for professionally diverse groups.

· Deliver training for the adult learner both onsite and via distance learning.

· Function as liaison between end users and client leadership and designated individuals including help desk team, programmers, analysts, technicians, and project managers.

· Assist with all functions necessary to create, edit, modify, produce, and disseminate instructional technical documentation and training resources as assigned (e.g., Quick Reference Cards, Quick Reference Guides, instructional videos, etc.).

· Develop and edit training videos and micro-learning content.

· Provide Tier 2 help desk support as assigned.

· Transporting themselves and training equipment to designated locations throughout the state.

· Lifting personal computers, printers, cash drawers, scanners, and other equipment associated with a standard computer workstation.

· Moving freely through a training/support environment to assist and instruct as necessary to deliver intended educational information.

· Perform other functions necessary to support the mission of the client such as participating in wide meetings and retreats, contributing to related conferences, or supporting cross departmental client’s training delivery.

Minimum Requirement:

· Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.

· Excellent writing skills. Extensive experience with technical writing and the development of professional technical training resources (e.g., Quick Reference Cards, Quick Reference Guides, etc.).

· Excellent attention to detail with an emphasis on producing high quality work products.

· Interpersonal skills that include the patience, tact, political correctness, and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.

· Extensive experience delivering customer training programs using adult learning principles to individuals and groups of users.

· Extensive experience delivering instructor-led distance learning to groups of individuals using various platforms (e.g., GoToWebinar, Zoom for Government, etc.).

· Experience identifying and troubleshooting user-defined problems, as well as participating in implementing appropriate solutions.

· Proficiency using current versions of the Windows operating systems, including Office 365 and Windows 10.

· One (1) year of direct experience using Camtasia, or similar software, for developing instructional videos.

· Extensive experience providing education to adults in a formal, professional setting.

· Experience providing Tier 2 help desk support using a help desk ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow).

Education

· Four-year degree from an accredited university.

· Six years of experience may be substituted for a four-year degree.

Preferred Education and Certification

· Master’s degree in education or related discipline

· Microsoft certifications issued within the last five (5) years for the Microsoft Office/Zoom Technical Trainer.

Preferred Skills:

· Proficiency using and conducting training for current versions of Microsoft Office applications, including 2016 and Office 365, in a PC environment.

· Aptitude to become proficient with Zoom for Government meeting and webinar platforms to provide training to Judiciary staff on scheduling and managing Zoom application for events such as remote hearings and webinar delivery.
