- Represent a growing deck company by building relationships with new and existing customers to generate sales, provide updates, process orders, and complete the sales process
- Identify and prospect potential customers, including homeowners, contractors, and builders, through website inquiries, cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Understand customer's needs and recommend appropriate decking solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and drawings promptly
- Keep accurate files of sales records and activities
- Close sales and achieve monthly sales targets
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and secure repeat business and referrals
- Enjoy a steady, Monday-Friday work week with no weekends

We seek a Deck Sales Representative to help our team grow and generate sales while providing excellent customer service. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, proactive, forward-thinking individual with previous experience in building products, home improvement, or construction and a drive to increase sales and enthusiastically represent our company and products.
Our Ideal Deck Sales Representative:
- Experienced: Previous experience in building products, home improvement, remodeling, or construction industries. Previous sales experience is preferred. We are willing to provide on-the-job training for someone with construction experience who desires to learn sales.
- Computer Skills: Comfortable with Microsoft Office Products (Excel and Word). Experience with design software is a plus, but we are willing to train a motivated candidate.
- Great Communicator: Must be able to communicate effectively & clearly with customers and coworkers in person, on the phone, and via email.
- People-oriented: Sincere, friendly, can easily relate to customers.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to listen carefully and record orders accurately.
- Team Player: Works well in a collaborative setting. Is socially aware and accommodates those with whom you interact and work. Have a warm and welcoming personality.
What We Offer Our Deck Sales Representative:
- Total Compensation: $80,000-$100,000+ per year
- Monthly Reimbursement for cell phone and laptop
