Construction Supplier Project Manager

 

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to be our next Construction Supplier Project Manager to join our team in our Stafford, TX 77477 location. 

 

Who We Are:

We have been in business for over 30 years in Stafford, TX area with currently 120 employees and GROWING! . Most of our employees in the Project Manager position have been with our company between 5 and 15 years. Our location is conveniently located directly off a major freeway for easy access. Our current, custom built facility consists of 19,500 square feet of office space, 9,200 square feet of Showroom, and 80,000 square feet of warehouse.

 

About the Role:

Project Managers act as the main point of contact for their projects. They will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with their contacts, always striving to be a key member with their client’s team. They will also be a key contributor to improving processes and efficiencies within our company.

 

To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, computer, and problem-solving skills. You should be resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with clients.

 

What you’ll do:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. 

 

  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients
  • Direct and supervise construction or related workers
  • Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors
  • May requisition supplies and materials to complete project
  • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling
  • Monitor & prioritize procurement process for critical vendors, equipment, and long lead items
  • Become intimately familiar with the project contract, general conditions, plans and specifications
  • Ensures proper tracking of Subcontractor agreements, change orders, RFIs, submittals, etc. Establishes and Maintain Logs
  • Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients
  • Work with dispatcher to assign workers to construction sites to work on specified projects
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management

 

Our Perfect Candidate

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction highly preferred
  • Microsoft Office- Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task using exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand all aspects of our business
  • AutoCAD and/or Sketchup skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish helpful, but not required

 

Other Qualification:

 

  • Construction Documents such as Plans, Specifications, Submittals, Contracts, and Payment Applications
  • Multi Family Industry
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical trades
  • Oracle NetSuite
