The Business Development Manager works closely with the VP of Business Development and account management teams to expand Telamon’s business. This role sells a portfolio of services across a variety of sectors and work environments, with an emphasis on new clients and value creation. These professional service offerings may include VAR distribution and engineering and installation services to service providers, OEMs, MSOs and enterprise accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Expand Telamon’s service offering by utilizing own network of contacts, sourcing new clients and partners, and developing relationships for sales and business development
- Collaborate with members of the Telamon team to deliver an excellent client experience across all client interactions from needs assessment through delivery and follow-up.
- Work collaboratively with VP of Sales and VP of Business Development to develop creative outreach strategies to attract new clients.
- Keep up to date and capitalize on current market trends and customer focus to increase and diversify business offerings
- Work with Sales Leads to complete and develop sales proposals
- Work towards sales and revenue goals as established in partnership with the VP of Sales.
- Model Telamon’s core values of honesty, harmony, simplicity and stewardship in everyday actions
Managerial Responsibility
- This position will not manage other workers
Travel/Shift Requirements
- Travel up to 50% of the time
Physical Demands
Office work is sedentary that requires the following physical activities:
- Sitting or standing for long periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity including close vision
- Occasional lifting (computer equipment, office supplies, etc.)
- May be required occasionally to stoop or kneel
Skills and Abilities Required
- Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of different backgrounds.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Highly skilled in using technology as an integral part of the sales process, especially working with CRMs, Salesforce preferred
- Skilled in MS Office suite
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty.
- Team-player mindset and collaborative with a focus on results
Education and Experience Required
- High school diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of sales and/or leadership professional services experience
- Telecom and technology experience preferred.
