Job Description:

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of company benefits plans, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, disability, leave, retirement, savings and spending accounts. Acts as a liaison to external vendors and third-party administrators and provides support for resolving escalated benefits issues. Provides reports, analyses, and any other information as requested.

  • Administers medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), short-term (STD) and long-term disability (LTD), life insurance, voluntary benefits, and family and medical leave act (FMLA). Also administers 401(k) and HSA plans, including reconciliation and timely remittance of contributions.
  • Researches and resolves issues externally by collaborating with vendors, and internally with other human resources’ teams and individual employees, as necessary.
  • Supports HR Resource Team (HRRT) in resolving escalated employee benefits’ issues by acting as a liaison to benefits vendors. Supports HRRT Leave Specialist in reviewing and analyzing the coordination of company leave programs with state and other regulatory leave programs.
  • Provide reports, audits, analyses and summarizes plan and employee data, as requested.
  • Assists with development and distribution of benefit communications to employees, managers and HR, as needed.
  • Assists with the management of vendor accountability.
  • Actively participates in preparation for and administration of Annual Enrollment.
  • Reviews, audits and coordinates payment of benefit vendor invoices.
  • Accurately documents, develops and maintains department processes to ensure consistency.
  • Actively participates in all new vendor implementations.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate employee benefits data in Workday and vendor systems, as applicable.
  • Assists the Workday Technology team with testing and reviewing benefits’ integrations to ensure system operation is consistent with benefit plan provisions.

Other Job Requirements

 

Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or similar.
2-3 years of previous experience in benefits with progressively increasing responsibilities.
Strong analytical skills as well as advanced Excel skills are required.
Excellent customer service skills including timely follow-up on outstanding issues and problems and the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with colleagues, employees, leadership, Human Resources and Finance partners in a professional manner.
Must maintain the highest regard for confidentiality with extreme discretion and integrity.
Ability to perform all tasks independently. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities quickly and as needed.
Ability to collaborate and support HR as well as other cross-functional teams.
A learner, looking for ways to continuously develop skills and improve processes.
Solid technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
