  • The Associate Director, Digital Marketing & Optimization, is responsible for the workforce management and strategy of platforms’ maintenance, launches and initiatives as part of the Digital Production & Platform Operations (DPPO) team under the Corporate Marketing department within Corporate Affairs.
  • This role will be a part of a DPPO team that owns content management system (CMS) access, provides divisional stakeholders and their Corp Affairs liaison as well as subject matter expert (SME) support of BMS Corporate Affairs external and internal digital platforms, metrics/analytics, and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • This role will also contribute to the design, development, and implementation led by the Assoc. Director of Digital Experience that frames and delivers corporate digital experience across the business enterprise and externally to our key audiences.
  • They will have a holistic view of the workflow led by Sr Manager of Digital Production, providing support during priority moments as well as oversight of all website and digital initiatives from a global perspective while supporting our international markets.
  • The Associate Director, Digital Marketing & Optimization is client-facing. proposes forward-looking strategies and captures the day-to-day of both the forest and the trees flagging upcoming resource intensive projects, and implement the procedures we are looking to streamline as a team.

 

   Responsibilities

  • Responsible for digital strategy and execution: optimizing the workflows across all platforms including but not limited to corporate websites (BMS.com US & 41 market sites), Intranet, Employee Advocacy tool, and Digital Signage
  • Leverage insights and conduct ongoing competitive research to identify and prioritize digital experience opportunities across bms.com and digital ecosystem that support brand positioning strategies and build brand equity
  • Drives the adoption and continued excellence, owning the process of implementation and optimization, and ensuring the health of the infrastructure in place to deliver these plans
  • Responsible for forward thinking strategy and approach for marketing technology trends
  • Enforces and manages the global market roll-out strategy for post-launch activities and provides guidance to global market digital leads on best practices and implementation
  • Provide subject matter expertise on analytics and optimization to improve or retire specific functionalities
  • Collaborate with BI&A and SEO teams to set up amalgamated reporting; utilize data to evaluate campaign efficacy, evaluate internal and competitive digital campaign performances
  • Liaise with SEO to educate and expand SEO discipline for our communication colleagues
  • Enforces companywide standards to maintain the integrity of all corporate web properties and communications.
  • Works with both internal and external agency clients/partners.
  • Works efficiently and effectively to keep projects on track and meet deadlines necessary to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Contributes to the development of DPPO plans, Corporate Marketing campaign plans and special projects planning
  • Manages enterprise standards, counsel Corporate Affairs, business and agency partners on digital standards and related issues.
  • Partners with the Assoc. Director of Digital Experience and IT to innovate technologically and aesthetically across the BMS communications technology infrastructure, adapting best practices and exploring next-generation technologies.

  

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 7 years’ experience in digital platforms management and metrics experience
  • A strong understanding of digital platforms and multichannel communications concepts
  • Understanding of best practices in web design and UX
  • Familiar with Accessibility issues related to digital platforms
  • Knowledge of CMS; Adobe Experience Manager; SharePoint; HTML; Analytics
  • Great leadership skills
  • Exceptional organization, writing, and research skills with thorough attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, be nimble, and adaptable while meeting deadlines
  • Driven self-starter with comfort operating in areas of ambiguity
  • Organized and effective presenter, comfortable presenting to senior leadership
  • Ability to collaborate across complex, matrixed organization
  • Bias toward action, with the ability to work independently
